I create two editions of prints: a standard and an artist edition.
Artist Edition Prints
My signed artist edition prints are created by me - not by an assistant or an outsourced printing company. As an artist, I prefer to have control over the creation of my art from the planning stages before I even pick up a camera through the creation of the print.
I carefully select my favorite paper and make each print as it is ordered. This allows me the flexibility to work with you to create the size you require for your space.
In order to purchase artist edition prints, please contact me directly through the link on this site, by calling (919) 451-1370 in the USA, (01865) 522703 in the UK, or via the gallery that represents my work, Bull City Art & Frame Company.
Standard Edition Prints
My standard edition offers an economical way to put my prints on your walls. They are not signed by me and often not printed by me, but there are always guaranteed for quality.

I am currently working on an exhibit about life in the North Carolina mountains from c. 1790 through c. 1850 with the central focus being the Vance Birthplace state historic site in Weaverville, NC. This exhibit is scheduled to open in September 2017.
A month-long exhibit of some of my favorite images will be in the Upper Gallery in the Kirby Cultural Arts Complex in Roxboro, NC in November 2017.
A longer term project I'm working on is of international scope showing connections between North Carolina and the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Its starting point is the life of Flora Macdonald, commonly known as the rescuer of Bonnie Prince Charlie. She briefly lived in North Carolina just before and at the beginning of the American Revolution. This exhibit is scheduled to open sometime in the second half of 2018.
My exhibit Stagville: Black & White was on display for almost two years, starting in the North Carolina Museum of History, a Smithsonian affiliate, and then moving to the Museum of the Cape Fear. It is now part of the permanent holdings in the Southern Historical Collections at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
In addition, I am interested in working to create other history-related exhibits where I can combine my photography, research, and curatorial skills.
Decorate Your Space
Need a timeline for your business or department? Are you decorating a new building? Want a new look for your office? You've come to the right place.
With over a decade of experience as a curator, researcher, and photographer, I love working with clients to put images on their walls, whether it is an entire building, a conference room, an office, or a room in your home.
Experts at Bull City Art & Frame Company and I work together to provide you with a full-service opportunity to create your own personal exhibit, timeline, or multi-piece decorative scheme.
With my curatorial, research, and photography background, I work with you to create new images, locate images, or choose images you already have. Along with the folks at Bull City, I can assist you with everything from choosing the right sizes for your images to where they would have the most impact on your walls. Then I create your prints, and Bull City frames them.
We even have installation options, so that you can rest easy and watch as we transform your space.
Please contact me directly through the link on this site or by calling (919) 451-1370 to start planning your project. I look forward to hearing from you.

I have one-on-one mentorship opportunities as well as class-based online learning options. I provide real-time feedback via video conferencing.
I was an instructor at the Bryan Peterson School of Photography, where I taught "The Photo Essay." I will be offering a course on photo essays and photo books in 2018.
